Poverty Gully

Living and working in the hills of rural Tasmania, my work draws upon the poetic landscape that surrounds my everyday, including the patterning of furrows and fields, the colours of shifting seasons, and the layers of story and texture found in the agricultural landscape. On my travels throughout the summer months, I am captivated by the various shades of yellow that appear throughout the landscape – crops of canola in sprawling paddocks in the Midlands, native wattle in full bloom near the coast, and the muted ochres of drying grass.
