South Arm Peninsula
While Hobart settle back for the evening in the shadow of Mt Wellington, the eastern shore of the South Arm peninsular luxuriates in an extra hour or so of late afternoon sunshine. Sociology argues that landscape is culture before it is nature – projection of the imagination. The allusive nature of the Tasmanian landscape is perhaps best captured as a dreamscape in which nothing is solid or permanent and which threatens to vanish at any moment.
