South Arm Revisited

My painting of South Arm is in a 4 panel format. The panels represent voices of my inner feelings about the area in focus after having painted in the area over the years.

I paint from the heart allowing my colour palette, mark making develop intuitively as I progress through the layering of the subject.

South Arm is characterised by wonderful rock surfaces, water variations where the textural versus the softer elements that exist in the landscape.

This is a mixed media painting combining under-surfacing which has been used to bring out the special sense of place found here in the landscape.
