That Pointy Hill (ODO 209800)
I superimpose my landscapes over the marked surface of the metal and efface some or all, of its story. Single trees, rows of trees, copse of trees punctuate the landscape. The weather creates myriad textures and marks. My paintings have evolved as palimpsestic odes to the landscape that border the Midlands Highway. I have driven the road hundreds of times over the years, as it provides a bitumen link between my old life in the south and my new life in the north of the island.
