The grand tour, Risdon Vale, Techoma Road

In the tradition of the Grand Tour of centuries past. At the completion of years of education, one would travel abroad across the sea for a year as a form of cultural study. Travelling from Queensland to Tasmania at the time would suffice. The initial plan was to return north, but after 20 years that ship has long sailed. The first dark morning at my new residence I woke up still feeling seasick to the sound of a lawnmower. I opened the curtian. Apon the machine rode an infant which appeared confident in its newly acquired skill. There were people in a distant paddock burning treated wood in a 44 gallon drum trying to stay warm. They were waving placards and chanting something at the watchtower beyond. Someone later said there was a prison riot which was resolved over pizzas.
