The Young Bushwalker Returning to Ronny Creek

The first time I discovered the Crater Lake walking track at Cradle Mountain, I shared it with some young bushwalkers, accompanied by their parents. I found that the youngest walker and I shared an interest in the native flora of the region, because I heard the child asking questions. Parents who take their children bushwalking from a young age should be congratulated. They teach good practice and instil a love and appreciation for the beauty of natural environments, inspiring the next generation of caretakers.
On the return journey to Ronny Creek, I stopped to admire and photograph this Pandani. At the same moment, the youngest bushwalker, who was leading the family, stepped into view, capturing the moment forever. The autumn mists were advancing quickly along the valley, and we had to resort to our raincoats. We had to hurry to catch the last bus of the day.
