Under the Bridge

Using the northern suburbs, where I have lived for a number of years as a starting point, this painting took me on a surprising journey. While I was thinking of exploring the theme of the dark underbelly of life, on the fringe of society, and its impact on the surrounding landscape/river, I seemed to have stumbled on a meeting point between the ethereal and corporeal.
