Western mine / My Mother’s tears

My Mother died in March 2012. Other mothers’ tears have not been in short supply and recent miners deaths have made the quiet and forgotten war on the land a more commensurate and public affair. Picturing the rush of weather through the immense abandoned space of the Iron Blow insinuates a natural course at odds with the human. A bespoke historic King Billy timber frame holds back both emotion and painted sentiment.
