Whaler’s Hill

Whilst on holiday in Bicheno the light of the Tasmanian sky, particularly seen in the dawn and evening, inspired me to catch this moment of Whaler’s Hill late in the day. It seems to me that the Tasmanian light is unique in that the range of colours and pinks at these times have a particular vibrancy and effulgence.

The understated depiction of the foreground allows the viewer to compose in their mind’s eye an image of the vegetation and topology of this State’s East Coast littoral.
