From the artist

A place of tragic beauty, a romanticised landscape, once teaming with life and the inevitable pain of living, it seems now silenced or mute. By making paintings of the sky over particular locations I am attempting to speak in a more poetic way about those places, making an illusion of an illusion evokes the transitory and ephemeral nature of existence.
